The Association of Theological Schools (ATS) has 39 member schools in Canada. Theological schools may be affiliated with other theological schools or may be a member of a larger theological union or university. Theological schools having affiliations with one another may be by geographic area, denomination or other shared interest.

      Toronto School of Theology (TST) is comprised of seven member schools: Emmanuel College (United Church of Canada), Knox College (Presbyterian Church in Canada), Regis College (Roman Catholic: Jesuit), St. Augustine's Seminary (Roman Catholic: Diocesan), University of St. Michael's College (Roman Catholic: Basilian), University of Trinity College (Anglican), and Wycliffe College (Anglican).

      Basic degrees offered include the Master of Divinity (M.Div.), Master of Religious Education (M.R.E.), Master of Pastoral Studies (M.P.S.), Master of Arts in Ministry and Spirituality (M.A.M.S.), Master of Sacred Music (M.S.Mus.), Master of Religion (M.Rel.) and Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) programs. Advanced degrees offered include the Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.), Master of Arts (M.A.), Doctor of Theology and Doctor of Philosophy in Theology (Th.D. and Ph.D.); Master of Theology (Th.M.) degrees.     Lutheran Theological Seminary

    • At LTS, internship is a requirement of both the M.Div. and B.Th. degree programs.

      Lutheran Theological Seminary (LTS) is a member of the Saskatoon Theological Union. LTS is owned by the four Western Synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC): British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba/Northwestern Ontario. Degree programs offered include the Master of Divinity (M.Div.), Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.), and the Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.). Lutheran Theological Seminary offers an advanced master's degree program in sacred theology. Certificate programs are available in Lutheran formation and diaconal ministry.

    St. Peter's Seminary

    • St. Peter's Seminary offers adult education courses in religious studies.

      St. Peter's Seminary is affiliated with King's University College of the University of Western Ontario. The seminary is a Roman Catholic seminary of the Diocese of London in London, Ontario. St. Peter's offers a Bachelor of Arts program in philosophy through King's University College. The seminary offers three graduate programs: Master of Divinity (M.Div.), an advanced Master in Divinity and a Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.).

    Acadia Divinity College

    • Acadia's diploma in prison ministry program requires two hundred hours of field work.

      Acadia Divinity College offers both a bachelor's (B.Th.) and a master 's (Th.M.) degree in theology. The college offers a Master of Divinity (M.Div.), a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.), and certificate programs. Acadia's M.Div. and B.Th. programs require two years of field work. Diploma programs include Christian studies, Christian foundation, and prison ministry.

    McGill University Faculty of Religious Studies

    • The Faculty of Religious Studies' lecture series is open to the public.

      The Faculty of Religious Studies at McGill University offers a bachelor of arts degree program with majors in world religions, scriptures and interpretations, and philosophy and Western religions. Minors are available in world religions, scriptural languages, and philosophy and Western religions. The school also offers a Bachelor of Arts in advising and a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) degree program. Graduate programs offered include a Master of Sacred Theology (S.T.M.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).
