Located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Calvin Theological Seminary (CTS) was founded in 1876 to prepare students for ministry in the reformed tradition of the Christian church. CTS offers several different master's degrees, certificate programs and a Ph.D. program. The school typically enrolls approximately 300 students each year.
At the master's level, CTS offers the standard ministry degree, the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and the master of arts (M.A.), which is offered in several different fields of study such as evangelism, youth ministry, pastoral care and bible and theology. A master of theological studies (M.T.S.) and master of theology (Th.M.) are offered as well. Certificate programs are available in many of the same areas that the M.A. degree is offered.
The Ph.D. program is offered with various concentrations: contemporary or modern theology, systematic theology, moral theology, philosophical studies, historical theology, Reformation studies and post-Reformation theology.
Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) has several different campuses across the country in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Houston, Orlando, Charlotte, Jackson, Mississippi, and McLean, Virginia.
