How to Create a Drop Box Basket in eCollege

Using eCollege, you can keep track of the submissions by your students and make it easy for them to turn in their assignments electronically. Create a dropbox basket for assignments, lectures, quizzes and other elements you might want to collect from your students. The dropbox can facilitate the collection of assignments and make it easier for teachers and professors to grade work as well as give and receive feedback. These baskets can be created for most elements except for exams and threaded discussions.

Instructions

  1. With Content Item

      Click the "Author" Tab.

      Move your mouse over the Week number to which you want to add content and create a dropbox. Click on the week you selected.

      Click on the "Add Content Item" tab if it isn't already highlighted. This is in the top middle of the screen.

      Choose what type of Content you want to add to the week. For example, you can choose "Assignment," "Discussion," etc. Be sure your choice is highlighted in the middle of the screen. Then click the button that says "Add to Week and Create Dropbox Basket."

    Attached to an Existing Content Item

      Follow Steps 1 and 2 in Section One. A set of content items will drop down from the week you selected.

      Click on the content item for which you would like to add a drop basket. Be sure the "Edit Content Item" is highlighted. This is in the top, middle of the screen.

      Move your mouse to the right-hand side of the screen and click "Create Dropbox Basket."
