Select a university that offers a BS in pharmacy. Most large universities have a school of pharmacy available. Pharmacyschools.com (see Resources) has a state-by-state list of schools that offer pharmacy degrees. Select a couple of schools as potential options.
Apply to the schools. Application methods to get into an university differ depending on the school. The school website will usually have information about the application process. Schools usually need a copy of high school transcripts and ACT or SAT scores.
Start taking classes when the school semester starts. A BS in pharmacy will differ in requirements by school but usually will have general studies courses in subjects like English, math and science. Most colleges have required elective options among general studies as well. After the year or two of general studies, take the pharmacy courses required for a BS in pharmacy at the school. Exact classes differ on the school, but most will require further studies in sciences, might require some medical courses and will have classes specifically related to pharmaceuticals. According to Education-Portal, a BS in pharmacy will usually require courses in various health disorders, such as mental disorders, cardiac disorders and respiratory disorders.
Pass the classes. Passing the classes requires studying for tests, completing coursework and reading the course materials. Most schools have minimum passing requirements to graduate, such as an overall 2.0 GPA.
