The University Center at Lansing Community College (LCC) provides a partnership between LCC and six four-year universities that allows students completing two-year degree programs to easily upgrade to higher level courses at schools such as University of Michigan Flint, Western Michigan University, Ferris State, Northwood, Siena Heights, and Lawrence Technological University. LCC also has a comprehensive transfer program with nearby Michigan State University. On-campus activities include athletics, performing arts, and a school-operated radio and TV station. The college's main campus is in Lansing, with a west campus in Delta Township, and additional learning centers are in East Lansing, Howell, and St. Johns.
With more than 150 degree and certificate programs, Delta College offers a variety of educational choices including the in-demand fields of wind turbine technology, information security, and digital film production. The college is a charter member of the National League for Innovation, which recognizes schools that emphasize research and innovation. Many Delta College graduates remain in Michigan as doctors, nurses, teachers, and skilled tradesmen. The school provides a fitness and recreation center for active students that includes a pool, gym, and weight and cardio area. The main campus and planetarium are located near Bay City, a satellite campus is in Midland, and the school also has a location in Saginaw.
Montcalm Community College, with a main campus in Sidney, is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission. The college's curriculum focuses on professional development for business and industry careers. In addition to offering 65 degree and certificate courses, the school maintains an apprenticeship-training program. Employers sponsor a student who must be currently working in the a skilled trade such as an electrician, machinist, plastic mold designer, die maker, and welder. The school has three campuses in addition to the main location, a technical center in Greenville and locations in Ionia and Howard City.
Mid Michigan Community College (MMCC) offers degrees in arts and communication, business and management, human services, and industrial technology. The school's health studies include nursing, pharmacy technician, physical therapy and radiography. MMCC is accredited through a self-evaluation program known as the Academic Quality Improvement Project. The college has a main campus in Harrison, and a second location in Mt. Pleasant.
