Indiana University offers an extension campus in Kokomo. Students enroll at the local campus and receive a degree from Indiana University upon graduation. High school, transferring and adult students are accepted. IU Kokomo offers a wide variety of majors, everything from biology, business and criminal justice to medical imaging technology, public affairs and secondary education, to name just a few. The school has associate's, bachelor's and master's degree programs as well as a number of certificate programs.
Ivy Tech Community College in Kokomo offers degrees and certificates from eight schools of learning, including the School of Business, School of Education and School of Nursing. Credits are offered for work experience, previous technical training and military service. Students also have the option to test for proficiency credits using the CLEP testing program.
Purdue University College of Technology offers a Purdue education to students who wish to stay within the Kokomo area while attending college. Admission requirements are generally the same for both Purdue University and the College of Technology. Students will be evaluated based on many factors, including, SAT or ACT scores, class rank and grade point average. Applicants will also be considered for admission based on past achievement trends. Purdue University College of Technology offers degrees in computer and information technology, engineering technology, and organizational leadership, among others.
Baptist College of America is a correspondence college located in Temple Baptist Church in Kokomo. Students can earn a bachelor's of science, master's or doctorate degree from home. Applications are available on the official website or by phone. An application fee is collected when the application is submitted. Credits are given for life experience that pertains to the course of study. Areas of study include Church ministries, religious education, Biblical studies, secretarial skills and leadership.
