How to Find Colleges in Atlanta, Georgia

In the city of Atlanta there are a variety of four-year universities and colleges including Spelman College, Morehouse College, Clark-Atlanta University, Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Georgia. There are also several two-year colleges within city limits. Outside of the city in nearby areas, there are even more colleges, including Agnes Scott College. Atlanta also has one of the largest concentrations of historically Black colleges in the nation.

      Locate a college in Atlanta using the College Board's College MatchMaker tool. The MatchMaker tool categorizes schools by state, but near the bottom of the location page, you can enter in an Atlanta zip code (e.g., 30301 - 300311) and narrow the search to just that area within the state of Georgia. You can then search for schools by degree type, programs of study, setting or competitiveness of admissions.
