Cowley College offers Wichita residents over 70 degree programs. Students can earn Associate's degrees and certificates through both online courses and on campus classes. Programs include agriculture, fine art, business, computer technology, criminal justice, education, social sciences, journalism, mathematics and physical education. Cowley has a vocational school that offers cosmetology, automotive technology and welding degrees. There are several campuses located in the Wichita area for students' convenience. Classes are offered online and at six campuses located throughout the Wichita area. Butler offers on campus housing to its students. There is an active student community with many organizations and clubs. Sports are very popular at Butler, with many students supporting the men's basketball and football teams. Tuition at Butler is $82 per credit hour for Kansas residents and $134 for non-residents. Financial aid is available.
Pratt Community College is open to anyone who possesses a high school diploma or GED, and any person above 18 years of age. Pratt offers both Associate degrees and certificates. Programs of study include agriculture, business, accounting, communications, health occupations, physical education, humanities, law enforcement, mathematics and social sciences. There are residence halls on campus and an active student organization. As of 2011, tuition is $79 per credit hour for Kansas residents and $84 for non-residents. Financial aid is available.
Heritage School is a vocational community college located in Wichita. Programs offered include therapeutic massage, personal training, health management, x-ray medical technician and pharmacy technician. Anyone over the age of 18 can apply for admission at Heritage School. Heritage offers both online and on campus classes. Program lengths and coursework vary, as does tuition. Heritage School is an approved recipient of financial aid by the US Department of Education.
