Business Degrees at Indiana Colleges

Capitalism, both in America and in other countries, provides a vast number of business-oriented careers, which urges many students to pursue a continuing education in business and marketing. Most business colleges in Indiana offer five or six different options for concentrations in an undergraduate degree, and some offer post-graduate degree options.
  1. Kelly School of Business

    • The Kelly School of Business is located at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Founded in 1920, the Kelly School of Business has a reputation as a respected business school and is consistently ranked as one of the top twenty business schools in the country. The school's curriculum not only aims to teach essential skills to their students, but provides opportunities to develop and use learned skills through hands-on experiences and special programs. Their Investment Banking Network provides investment-banking programs to graduates and undergraduates in order to develop an understanding of financial services.

    Krannert School of Management

    • The Krannert School of Management, located at Purdue University, offers undergraduate degrees in business with concentrations including accounting, management, industrial management and economics. Students at Krannert are taught to work with a diversity of peers from around the world, with a student body from 46 different countries. It also offers extensive study-abroad programs in countries ranging from China to Ireland. Apart from standard degree classes, the Krannert program has business-related associations and clubs, such as the Krannert Finance Club or the Management Volunteer Program. Also available is an optional Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which teaches the basics of entrepreneurship. On site is an Undergraduate Management Communication center to help prepare students for interviews and presentations.

    Miller College of Business

    • The Miller College of Business is located at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. The school's curriculum focuses on advanced classroom learning accompanied by real-world business instruction to give students a well-rounded experience. The entrepreneurship program, for example, requires students to craft a business plan and present the plan to a panel of entrepreneurs for approval before being allowed to graduate. The Miller program places an emphasis on immersive learning and internships for experience and connections, and requires business students in all disciplines to interact on a regular basis with professionals in their field. Programs include undergraduate majors and minors, graduate degrees and certification programs, divided among five departments.

    Indiana Wesleyan University School of Business and Leadership

    • The School of Business and Leadership is located at the Indiana Wesleyan University, a Christian university with a focus on professional education and the liberal arts. Their business school has as its aim, developing world-changing business students through focusing on character, scholarship and leadership. Unlike most colleges, the School of Business and Leadership works to provide educational opportunities to working adults and adults with families, making it a program fitted for students unable to spend large amounts of time on campus. The school offers both associate and bachelor undergraduate degrees, ranging from accounting to business information systems, as well as master's and doctorate degree options.
