Art colleges and institutes offer many options for summer classes.   1. Tisch School of the Arts

    • Tisch School of the Arts offers a variety of four-week programs to high school students. The college offers programs in dramatic writing, photography, drama, film and music. Each program is designed to immerse the students in their subject and give them a taste of what going to the Tisch School of the Arts feels like. At the end of the program, students will have earned 6 college credits that are accepted at any accredited New York college. The college also offers non-credited courses to people.

    Yale University of Art

    • Yale University School of Art offers a Summer of Art and Music program. You must be nominated or recommended in order to participate in the program. The University offers this program to art students from universities and colleges across the United States. The program lasts six weeks and is for academic credit. Through the Ellen Battell Stoeckel Trust, all expenses such as tuition as well as room and board are paid. The university offers courses in painting, mixed media and drawing.

    Montserrat College of Art

    • The Montserrat College of Art offers a pre-college summer art program to high school students that have just graduated.
