Which Colleges Offer Two Year Associates Degrees in Northeast Indiana?

The state of Indiana offers many academic programs for people wanting a college education. There are college programs throughout the state so everyone has an opportunity to attend a college near their homes. In northeast Indiana there are several associate degree programs that allow you to get a degree in many subjects from business to information technology in two years.
  1. Brown Mackie College

    • Brown Mackie College has headquarters in Ohio, but it also has several campuses in nine states including Indiana, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Georgia and Missouri. In Indiana there are seven Brown Mackie campus. The Fort Wayne campus is in the northeast part of the state. Originally Brown Mackie offered two-year business degrees, but now it offers a wider range of study that includes legal studies, technology, nursing, health care and veterinary science. The Fort Wayne enrollment is about 1,100 students, most of whom work part-time. For this reason classes are available both during the day and in the evening. Brown Mackie also offers the unique one class a month schedule so students can take one class at a time.

    Ivy Tech Community College

    • Ivy Tech is the largest community college in Indiana. It has 23 campuses and more than 125,000 students as of 2010. In northeast Indiana there are campuses in several counties with Fort Wayne being the main campus. The northeast campuses total more than 11,000 students combines. The first Ivy Tech College in these areas open in 1969. Many two-year associate degrees are available in almost 150 subjects including health care, education, fine arts, technology, business, public service and liberal arts. Ivy Tech offers flexible schedule options. Some associate degrees can be completed entirely online.

    Harrisison College

    • Harrison College has several campuses throughout Indiana. The college offers two-year programs in fashion design, culinary arts, business and technology among other programs. The Fort Wayne campus began in 1999 and is in northeast Indiana. This campus offers training so students can get high-paying jobs in business and health care occupation. Business programs include accounting, finance, management and marketing. Health care programs include nursing, medical assitance and surgical technology. Harrison College provides flexible course work. Student can take classes online or in a classroom. Although Harrison offers a few programs leading to a bachelor's degree, most of its programs lead to the Associate in Applied Science degree.

    Indiana Tech College

    • Indiana Institute of Technology is the official name of Indiana Tech. The college was founded in 1930. Indiana Tech offers two-year degrees in business studies and computer science. The college offers many associate degrees in addition to bachelor's degrees and a few master's degrees. Programs of study for the associate's degree are accounting, business administration, website design, networking management and criminal justice. The Associate of Science degree is the only associate's degree offered but students can earn the degree online, in classrooms, via independent study or any combination of these.
