The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) was established in 1970 by dynamic businessman H. Smith Richardson, Sr. The Center offers programs on leadership education and research with a focus on solving individual and collective organizational challenges. Headquartered at Greensboro, N.C., the Center has three campuses located at Greensboro, Colorado Springs and San Diego. The Center offers core programs for building the most critical skills as well as programs addressing specialized topics.
The Leader's Institute was established in 1998. Over the years, the Institute has evolved into a company specializing in public speaking training, leadership consulting and team building. Located in Arlington, Texas, the Institute offers leadership training through boot camp, home study course, free tips and articles and free leadership videos.
Matrix Leadership Institute offers training programs in various locations in Oregon, California, Washington, Colorado and Illinois. it claims to offer a unique model for group communications and leadership taught by Amina Knowlan. The model is based on developing a matrix or web of interpersonal relationships that leads to the growth of the group and its members. By participating in a matrix group, the students discuss group dynamics to evolve mutually rewarding and relationships.
Group Leadership Intensive (GLI) is a residential, five-day program in Pottstown, Pa. The program specializes in group leadership dynamics. The training comprises multifaceted activities to develop interventions and creative strategies for fruition of group goals. In this course, the students have a chance to practice handling issues that appear in group settings. Gradually with practice, students will learn how to manage these issues and help move the group forward.
These seminars were evolved by Roger Reece in 1998, a corporate executive for 25 years. The company offers seminars and workshops on leadership from its head office located in Roswell, Ga. Many of the leadership training programs, which also include group leadership development, are based on a standardized curriculum. The programs teach team membership styles, shared goals and interdependence, identifying team roles, solving problems, making decisions within the organization, conflict resolution and intergroup support.
