FRESIA is an artistic organization based in a small town in Italy that offers several instructional workshops that mainly deal with the methods of French impressionism. The workshops, taught by two American painters, feature a variety of instructional methods, such as video instruction, demonstrations and lectures. In 2011, there will be seven workshops in all, ranging from one- to two-week programs, available to any level of painter. One of the instructors, Jerry Fresia, teaches "the authentic method used by the French impressionists," and this includes not only the method of painting done by the original impressionists but their philosophy as well. A gallery is also operated on the premises.
