How to Cite an Author in a Research Paper

When you are writing a term paper, it is critical that you correctly format the citations in your reference list. Incorrect citation looks sloppy and may cause you to receive a lower grade. The exact form you should use when citing authors depends on whether you are using MLA or APA citation style, how many authors a cited reference has and whether the reference was authored by an organization.
