How to Cite an Internet Database

An Internet database is a subscription service that collects articles from scholarly journals. Common examples include LexisNexis, EBSCOhost and JSTOR. If you are attending college, it is likely that you have access to one or more Internet databases through your college library. If you access an article through a database, you should make note of this in your citation. The Chicago Manual of Style, American Psychological Association (APA) and Modern Language Association (MLA) all publish guidelines for the proper citation of articles obtained through Internet databases.
