How to Update Your FAFSA

FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Update your FAFSA to make changes to estimated family contributions, tax information or personal information. In most cases, you can update your FAFSA online. If you don't feel comfortable making changes electronically, you can download a copy of your FAFSA, print it out and mail in your corrections. Updating your FAFSA gives you access to a variety of student-loan options, including federal student loans, PLUS loans and state and federal grants that can help pay for college.
