How to Take the SATs After College

Whether you want to take the SAT in order to get a better score for a further university application, because you never took it during high school or just to satisfy your curiosity, it's simple to take the test after graduating from college. Registering to take the SAT is almost exactly the same as registering for the test for a high school student, although there are one or two more restrictions that apply to adult test-takers.

      Visit the College Board SAT website to examine possible test dates and decide which is right for you. Note that, if you are over 21, you cannot make any changes to your test on the test date. If you need to change centers or dates, you must do so in advance.

      Register for the test, either using the SAT website or by mail to the College Board. You can pay the registration fee by credit card or check. You will receive an admission ticket containing your test details.

      Make sure you have everything you need before leaving for the testing center on test day. You will need a government-issued form of photo identification such as a driver's license or passport, as well as your admission ticket.

      Go to the testing center, check in and take your test.
