On the day before your SAT, take a little time to review your study materials. Do not plan to spend more than an hour studying on this day; instead, just do a quick review. Look over material you do not understand, and make certain you understand the types of questions that will appear on the test. Do not cram on the day before your test.
Your impending tests may have you feeling more than a little nervous. Find ways to relax during the day before your test. Watch a movie or enjoy a day at the park with friends. Engage in activities that are low-key and will not cause anxiety. Make sure that you are home in time to gather your materials and get plenty of rest on the evening before your test.
Eat as you normally would the day before your test. Avoid foods that are too heavy or greasy, as these may cause stomach upset during the test. Get a little exercise the day before the test to help you relax and clear your mind. Do not engage in more exercise than you are used to: A short walk or yoga session will do the trick. Go to bed early enough so that you will feel well rested for your test.
Gather all of the materials you will need when taking the test and have them ready to go. You will need a few sharpened No. 2 pencils, a picture ID and SAT registration materials. Pack a calculator and any other materials listed on your information packet, including snacks, water, tissues and a book to read during breaks. Make sure that you know where the test will be administered and how to get there. Set several alarms to wake you up on the morning of your test, giving yourself plenty of time so that you will not feel rushed.
