What are the main determiners?

Main determiners are words that come before nouns to provide specific information about them. There are several types of determiners, but some of the most common include:

Articles: Articles are words that come before nouns to indicate whether the noun refers to a specific thing (the) or to any member of a general class (a, an).

Here are a few specific examples of determiners in use:

- I like the red hat you are wearing. This red sweater looks warm too!

- These three students turned in their homework a full hour earlier than anyone else! Those lazy students over there, however, have to stay 1 hour past to finish theirs due to their repeated disruptions from yesterday!
