How many questions you can get wrong to fail the NYS ELA test?
The New York State English Language Arts (ELA) test is not scored in terms of the number of questions missed, but rather by raw scores assigned to student responses using criteria laid out in scoring rubrics for each test item/question. To determine if a student passes or fails the exam depends on their score relative to set cut scores, which determine if a student exceeds standards, meets standards, or does not meet standards.
