All-in-One A+ Certification Exam Guide is an 843-page CompTIA's A+ exam preparation guide consisting of two books and a CD-ROM, published by Computing McGraw-Hill. It also is designed to provide comprehensive information about hardware and networks that can be accessed by both experienced information technology professionals, as well as those who are new to the field.
According to a review on Amazon.com, the A+ certification exam guide explains the hardware components one item at a time, covering the CPU, power supplies, RAM, motherboards and the peripheral bus and disk drives. The guide also goes over information on networks and covers DOS, Windows 3.x, and Windows 95. The guide also includes many illustrations and photos, as well as a chart that shows how much time students should spend studying each subject for the exam. The CD-ROM includes practice exams to prepare students for the CompTIA A+ exam.
Michael Meyers, author of the exam guide, has published more than a dozen computer industry certification guides and training resources. He started out as a systems support specialist, then started a company called Total Seminars to help students learn about fixing and running computers and networks.
