Find a testing service. Professional testing services provide the most accurate results. There is no need to prepare for the test, as it is designed to test aptitude not knowledge. Eat a hearty breakfast the morning of the test, and be sure to get a good night's sleep beforehand to ensure your brain will work at its optimal level.

Each test consists of sub-tests that are used to measure intelligence. Reading and writing are not required, as many are administered orally. Sub-tests measure everything from spatial skills, verbal ability, mathematical reasoning ability, vocabulary etc. The sub-tests are graded on a scale to determine the overall score.
