Locate institutions that offers free GED Practice exams.
Practice exams can be obtained from community centers or local colleges. If they do not offer them, they may have GED guides and information to direct any would-be students in the right direction. GED practice exams can also be found online. Many of these are not accredited by the AC but can still be used as personal practice to become familiar with the kinds of questions on the exam.

KIT.org PBS Literacylink offers free online activities and sample GED questions geared towards the preparation of the practice exam.
The only website accredited by the American Council on Education is the Official GED Practice Test (OPT) online is GEDPractice.com.
Pre-register for the Official GED Practice Test (or OPT).
Certain free Official GED Practice Test requires a State-issued ID and is offered through most of local community colleges. The practice test will determine the competency of the student's education level and if he or she is prepared for the final GED exam.
Unlike the practice GED tests, the official GED test cannot be taken online.
