The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) oversees the school system in India and is a self-financed organization that meets its operating expenses through exam fees and admission charges. In addition to overseeing regulations and requirements for all public and private schools, the CBSE administers secondary school certificate exams, admission exams for courses at colleges and universities and teacher eligibility tests. Exam results are available online prior to the official results, which the CBSE sends by postal service.
