Foreign Exchange Programs in Florida

Foreign-exchange programs allow students from all over the world to come to America to go to school and learn about our culture, while also allowing students from America to go to their country and go to school learning about their culture. A number of these cultural trade programs are based in Florida.
  1. Two Worlds United Educational Foundation

    • Two Worlds United Educational Foundation is based in Florida and is one of the leading companies in sponsoring international education and student-exchange opportunities. They offer study-abroad summer programs, three-month trimester programs, four- to six-month semesters, and yearlong academic sessions to countries all over the world, including Australia, Japan, France, Italy and America. Tuition for these programs varies greatly as well, depending on what program you sign up for and where you are going. For students coming to America from abroad, they may be based in Florida but have a choice of a number of U.S. locations.

    Rotary Youth Exchange Florida

    • Rotary International is the world's oldest international service organization with 1.2 million members and over 32,000 clubs in nearly 200 countries. Each year, 8,000 high school students participate in the Rotary Youth Exchange program worldwide, learning a new language and experiencing a new culture. The programs in Florida are growing as Rotary members are taking more foreign-exchange students in for semesters of school or summers where the student can become immersed in American culture. Large numbers of students in the programs in Florida also set off to experience different areas of the world for semesters at a time, from Brazil to France to Taiwan.

    FAU Exchange Program

    • Florida Atlantic University hosts a foreign-exchange program allowing the school to swap students from one institution they have a partnership with overseas and bringing that student to Florida Atlantic for a semester or sometimes a year. The FAU exchange program allows students to go to school in Brazil, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, South Korea, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. All of these programs require a individual application for each proving you have a minimum required GPA and stating why you should be allowed to travel abroad and exchange places with a student at that university. Each of these programs last only one semester.
