Come up with a quiz topic. Research online or browse reference material and see what kinds of subjects interest you.
Write accurate questions and answers. A quiz can include at least five questions. Use the reference material to come up with meaningful and engaging questions.
Design an answer rubric or master key. If you are writing questions for a standard oral or witten test, you need only the answers. But if you are writing a personality test, you will need to create a rubric to score each answer. For example, choice A = 1 point.
Edit your questions and answers. Run them through a quick spelling and grammar check and have another set of eyes read them for comprehension.
Use supplemental material for quiz questions, such as pictures or props, if you are conducting an oral or written test. For example, you can play music clips and ask what song it is. For online tests, include various multimedia, including music or videos.
Publish your quiz. If you are writing an oral quiz, you will only need one copy for yourself. For standard written quizzes, you will need to print out copies for all quiz takers as well as provide answer sheets, if necessary. If you are creating an online quiz, ProProfs quiz maker is excellent for the classroom, as it provides a useful grading and analytics report with each quiz. Quibble is a simple-to-use quiz site that allows easy sharing of original quizzes and polls through various social media sites.
Take a practice quiz and make sure the questions and answers are to your liking. Let others participate.
