Where is the pronotum on a ladybird beetle?

The pronotum is the first section of the thorax in insects, and is located just behind the head. In ladybird beetles, the pronotum is large and shield-shaped, and covers the entire top of the thorax. It is often brightly coloured, and can be used to identify different species of ladybird beetles.
