Set up your classroom dramatic play area to look like a jungle. Use paper to decorate the walls like a jungle. Have the children help you decorate the area, if you wish. The children can color the paper before it’s put on the wall. Have a supply of books, costumes and other toys to enhance the play in the area. In a dramatic play area, children should be able to feel free to pretend. According to ncrel.org, dramatic play areas promote literacy, a crucial part of a child’s education.
