Preschool Express is a directory of resources for teachers, parents and grandparents of preschoolers. Jean Warren created the website. Warren is a retired preschool teacher and previous owner of Totline Publications, a toddler and preschool teacher product line. She divided the website into various stations, such as Art Station, Food Station, Alphabet Station and Number Station. Each station offers a range of related activities and games, divided by the times of year that are most appropriate for the activity.
Enchanted Learning is a teacher's resource for students of all ages. They offer an extensive preschool-oriented section. Enchanted Learning primarily offers print outs and worksheets for teachers, although they do have tutorials on craft projects, lesson plans and teaching themes as well. They have a large library of free, printable books for preschool age learners which are perfect for classrooms on a budget. Enchanted Learning provides access to their website for free, but for a twenty dollar yearly subscription, they allow access to additional materials.
Preschool Rock is another educational resource geared at parents and teachers. Although Preschool Rock offers less of an extensive range of resources than Preschool Express or Enchanted Learning, they make up for it with detailed, illustrated tutorials. Preschool Rock also offers something none of the other preschool teaching websites do: localized websites in certain areas that provide information about kids community events, preschooler friendly destinations, ongoing preschooler classes and information about local schools and play groups.
Starfall is less of a resource directory than previous sites, as it instead offers a very specific service for preschoolers: Online books and reading activities. Starfall began in 2002 as a free public service to teach students how to read using phonics. They offer interactive learning activities for children at four levels: ABCs, Learn to Read, It's Fun to Read, and I'm Reading. Their ABCs section is ideal for preschoolers just starting out with the alphabet and reading.
