Choose the format of your newsletter. Newsletters are often published electronically -- and sent via email or placed online -- or mailed in hard copy form. Determine what is most effective for both you and your audience. Poll parents and co-workers to determine which form of a newsletter they prefer to receive. No matter which way you decide to go, use formatting programs such as Microsoft Publisher or even Word to give your newsletter a professional appearance.

    • 4

Assign articles to writers. Writing the entire newsletter on your own can be quite the insurmountable task so don't hesitate to ask for help. Recruit the help of fellow teachers and parents. Offer them the opportunity to write an article that caters to their tastes, strengths and expertise.

    • 5

Edit the newsletter. After receiving articles from all your writers, read through them closely. Check especially for any mistakes in grammar and facts, and look for a strong and authoritative voice that still remains conversational. Make any necessary changes or ask for entire re-writes from authors. Once satisfied, compile all the articles into the newsletter.
