The Public Broadcasting Service's educational show "Sesame Street" maintains a website that is full of learning activities for preschoolers. Games, songs and coloring activities make Sesame Street's website a one-stop shop for learning. Letters, numbers, patterns, rhymes and more are incorporated into Sesame Street's website. Identify videos and activities that your preschooler will enjoy by searching by theme or subject. For example, if your child enjoys animals, the website offers several short videos about animals of all kinds for your child to view. The site also contains clips from the "Sesame Street" show.
The toy maker Fisher-Price has several educational games for preschoolers on its website. It also has games for infants and toddlers. For instance, the preschool Wild Habitat Preschool Science game allows your child to choose which habitat he wants to learn about. He can click on different animals that live in that environment to learn interesting facts about each one. Look through the games yourself first to see if your child would enjoy them. Some of the other preschool games include Healthy Food Hunt and Thomas and Friends Engine Wash. Others are the Trio Matching Game and Phonics Learning Game.
The Learning Planet website has a few educational games geared toward preschoolers and kindergartners. Mr. E's Matching Game and Count Your Chickens are two of the games to enhance preschooler's memories and abilities to count. You can also play the ABC Order game and TimeWorks, which helps preschoolers learn to tell time by having them put the numbers on the face of the clock.
Learning games are available through a subscription service on the PBS Kids Play website. You can pay $9.95 each month, $49 for six months, or $79 for a year of service, as of May 2011. This site offers access to a full preschool curriculum. Three levels are available to challenge your child. Children get rewards as they complete games and levels. You can see the skills your children are learning and how well they are doing. Games are customized to your child's progress. A free 10-day trial was available as of May 2011. Free games and learning activities are also available on the PBS Kids website. Click on your child's favorite PBS Kids character to access games and activities for that character. PBS Kids videos are also available to view for free.
