Make all the children sit in a circle and choose one child to be "It." This child walks along the outside of the circle and touches each child's head saying either "duck" or "goose." The child who gets a "goose" has to stand up and chase "It" along the circle. If "It" sits in "goose's" place without getting caught, the "goose" becomes "It." But if the "goose" catches "It," "It" shall have to play all over again.
This is a very simple and interesting game. All the kids stand in a line. Choose one kid to be "Simon". The kid playing Simon gives instructions that begins with "Simon Says". So if the kid says, "Simon says stand on one foot," all the kids must stand on one foot. But the kids must follow the instructions only when "Simon says" is in the beginning of the sentence. Any child who follows Simon's instructions without the "Simon says" in the beginning of the sentence is out. The last child standing gets to be the next Simon.
This is a game that kids can play with music. All the kids sit in a circle. An adult can be in charge of the music. Give a pillow to one of the children. As soon as the music starts, the child must pass the pillow to the next person. This will continue until the music stops. When the music stops, the child with the pillow has to do a dance, sing a song or anything the children ask him to do. After that the game continues again.
"Pin the Tail" is a very exciting party game for children. Get a large poster of an animal (it doesn't have to be a donkey) pinned on a pin board and cut away its tail. Put a pin at the end of the picture of the tail. Blindfold the child and gently spin him a little to disorient him. The child has to pin the animal's tail at the appropriate spot. The child who gets the tail closest to the correct spot wins.
Kids absolutely love dressing up. Set a fun theme for the party and ask all children to turn up in their costumes. You can give prizes for the funniest or the most creative costume.
