Unroll one roll of 4-foot by 50-foot black plastic sheet so that it lays flat on the floor.
Unroll the second roll of black plastic and lay it next to the first so the total width is 8 feet and length is 50 feet.
Use duct tape to tape the two pieces of black plastic together.
Assemble a tent at the narrow edge of the black plastic.
Open all of the windows and doors on the tent.
Place a box fan on the black plastic so that it is two feet behind the tent.
Use a scissors to make a hole in the black plastic for the fan's electrical cord to go through.
Place two preschool-sized chairs back-to-back, two feet from the end of the black plastic.
Gather the black plastic so that it covers the sides and top of the tent.
Use duct tape to secure the black plastic up and over the sides and top of the tent.
Continue gathering and taping the black plastic to the fan and finally to the chairs to form the body of the whale.
Plug the fan into the electrical outlet and turn it on. The whale body will inflate.
Use black tempera pain to paint the center of two white paper plates to resemble whale eyes. Leave the rim of the plate white to represent the area around the eye.
Sprinkle some silver glitter on the black portion of the eye to make it more lifelike.
Allow the paint to dry.
Use duct tape to attach the paper plate eyes to two sides of the tent that are next to the mouth.
Draw a whale tail onto a large piece of cardboard that is slightly wider than the two preschool chairs.
Paint the whale tail with black tempera paint and let dry
Use a craft knife to cut out the whale tail.
Attach the cardboard tail to the preschool-sized chairs using duct tape.
