What is the IQ range for a thirteen year old?

There isn't a specific IQ range for a 13-year-old that's different from the general population. IQ scores are standardized to have a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15 (or sometimes 16, depending on the test). This means the same distribution applies regardless of age:

* Average: 90-109

* Above Average: 110-129

* Superior/Gifted: 130+

* Below Average: 80-89

* Intellectual Disability (depending on other factors): Below 70

While IQ tests are *normed* for different age groups (meaning the scoring is adjusted to account for developmental differences), the underlying distribution of scores remains consistent. A 13-year-old scoring 130 would be considered in the gifted range, just as a 25-year-old scoring 130 would be.
