    Odyssey Community School

    • Odyssey Community School is more of a community of integral learning, rather than a school. The kindergarten through 12th grade organization aims for students to have "respectful interaction in an emotionally safe space."

      Odyssey believes that science, math, language, art and history should be combined with the learning of oneself. In addition to standard courses, skills taught include creative thinking, self-organization and time management.

      Tuition as of 2010 ranges from $7,100 to $9,000 based upon grade level.

    Evergreen Community Charter School

    • Evergreen Community Charter School serves kindergarten through eighth grade. The school focuses on the development of both intelligence and character. In addition to standard courses such as math and language arts, Evergreen Community Charter School places a big emphasis on environmental education. The school teaches students to be "responsible citizens and stewards of the environment."

      Evergreen Community Charter School is free, but children must apply to gain acceptance into the school.
