How to Enroll in Catholic High Schools in Cincinnati

More than 95 percent of all students attending Catholic high schools in Cincinnati graduate, with the same percentage continuing to college. More than two thirds of graduates receive scholarships for their education. Cincinnati area Catholic high schools have been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for consistently ranking in the top 10 percentile nationally in math and reading scores. There are more than 22 high schools in the archdiocese and tuition ranges from $5,000 to $20,000 annually. A variety of classroom experiences are available, including all-male, all-female and co-educational curricula.

      Register to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT), which is required of all students who enroll in a Cincinnati area Catholic high school. The test is offered in November at several schools and costs $25. The HPST can be sent to up to three schools.

      Choose your high school and find out from the school about specific application procedures. Deadlines for school applications range from January through March annually. Open houses are held at Cincinnati area high schools throughout the fall, with individual tours scheduled directly with school admissions offices.

      Apply for tuition assistance if necessary. Payment plans, scholarships and other assistance is provided and varies by institution. Many schools include books, meals, fees and tablet personal computers or laptops as part of tuition.
