Virgin Valley High School is located directly in the center of Mequite. Virgin Valley's 750 students boast Bulldog pride; teams have won state championships in golf, baseball, cross country, volleyball and basketball in recent years years. Virgin Valley also offers a award-winning drama and music department for its more creatively-minded students. Virgin Valley is home to more than 60 teachers and administrators as well.
Beaver Dam High School is located 10 miles east of Mesquite in the small town of Littlefield, Arizona. With more than 150 students and 20 teachers and administrators, the Beaver Dam High School is a small school; its mascot is the Diamondbacks. Until 2005 Beaver Dam High School only housed grades nine through 11 with all seniors attending Virgin Valley High School School.
Pine View High School is located 20 miles northeast of Mesquite in the city of St. George, Utah. It had 934 students enrolled as of January, 2011. It is one of 10 high schools in the Washington County School District and primarily serves the St. George community. The Pine View sports teams are known as the Panthers. Pine View has a strict anti-bully policy that threatens harsh punishments to students that bully others in person, over the Internet, or in any other fashion.
Also located near St. George, Utah, Dixie High School offers many diverse courses in the arts, science and mathematics. The school serves the rural areas of Washington County as part of the Washington County School District; it had 964 students enrolled as of January, 2011. The school's mascot is the Flyers. It offers applicable students the opportunity to take ACT prep courses and college prep courses to help plan for the future. The school's Sterling Scholar program is the largest scholarship program in the state of Utah. Dixie High School is slightly larger than Pine View, but is only two miles away.
