The Teach2Talk program is a developmentally appropriate educational series developed by Jenny McCarthy. The series that specifically target behavioral problems are Teach2Talk Social Skills, Teach2Talk Play! and Teach2Talk Behaviors! In the DVDs viewers see children making incorrect choices or exhibiting inappropriate behaviors and then receiving consequences. Then they see children making good choices and modeling appropriate behavior.
The Kids Good Manners DVD uses a game show format to teach social skills in a variety of social situations. Live-action children in the video are contestants presented with a series of social situations. The contestants are awarded points for choosing the proper behavior. Viewers are also encouraged to keep score at home.
This live-action DVD also uses a game show format to teach manners in an entertaining way. The host, "Willy Do-Right," facilitates the game and awards points for correct responses. Categories include mealtime manners, telephone manners, playtime manners, school manners and healthy manners. Viewers are also encouraged to keep score at home.
This DVD incorporates children to act out different social situations that children often encounter. The two child hosts provide feedback for each scenario. Topics include phone etiquette, table manners and social skills. There are also Tips and Tricks to accompany the DVD that can be downloaded from the website. This DVD won the Parents' Choice Gold Award and the National Association of Parents Publications Gold Award as a most outstanding video for children.
