The Culver Girls Academy opened in 1971 and prepares young girls for a college experience. Culver students take only three or four courses per semester which allows each class to meet for one hour each day. Culver has 99 percent college acceptance rate among its graduating students.
The Howe School is located 30 miles north of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Howe accepts both boys and girls though most classes are segregated by gender. Unlike many military schools, Howe School encourages the visual and performing arts through a variety of course offerings. Howe provides financial aid to 40 percent of its student body.
Randolph-Macon Academy provides a disciplined educational experience for girls in grades six to 12. The school has only 350 students enrolled as of February 2011 which allows teachers to provide extra assistance during class. Randolph-Macon Academy has a 100 percent college acceptance rate for its student body. Students can participate in a music program along with varsity sports teams.
The Oak Ridge Military Academy hosts girls and boys in grades eight through 12. The school began in 1852 as an educational institute and has developed over two centuries into one of the largest military academies on the east coast. Oak Ridge sends 100 percent of its graduating students to four-year college or university. Oak Ridge offers many different clubs for students to join as part of their leisure activities.
