Located in Middleboro, Massachusetts, the Chamberlain International School is a private non-profit boarding school offering comprehensive therapeutic programs for youth age 11 through 20. Students participate in weekly individual and group therapy sessions with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Chamberlain also offers crisis intervention and specialized treatment for adolescents suffering from specific personality or mood disorders. Students are taught positive, proactive behaviors in addition to regular academics. Upon arrival, students begin the program in primitive living quarters learning to survive without some of the luxuries and assistance they are accustomed to. Personal responsibility and discipline are nurtured through hard work, enriching shared experiences and rewarding fun in a beautiful, natural farm environment. The school is open to boys and girls age 13 and 18.
Girls at New Leaf Academy are encouraged to conquer developmental milestones, enhance communication skills and build positive behavioral responses in a supportive, age-appropriate environment. Available treatment programs include cognitive, behavioral and art therapy. Social activities are geared to promote social skill development and maturity outside of day to day academia. Girls age 10 through 14 are taught the art of maintaining meaningful friendships during the often tumultuous middle school years.
Valley View is a therapeutic boarding school for boys located in North Brookfield, Massachusetts. Boys practice personal responsibility and behavior modification by participating in academics, therapy and a points system in which work is rewarded with cash on a weekly basis. Extracurricular activities include trips to Boston and Worcester, sports, drama, skateboarding, fishing, camping and more. Valley View offers a 12 month program for boys age 11 through 16.
Youth Care Inc. offers an intensive, therapeutic boarding school for adolescents age 11 through 18 in a caring, home-like environment. Parents can choose to enroll students directly in Youth Care's behavior modification program, which teaches self-respect and respect for others through positive reinforcement for good behavior and consistent consequences for negative behavior. When students earn a particular number of points for positive social and academic behavior, they graduate to a higher "level" and receive bonus privileges.
