Teach younger children who are close to the same age throughout most of the day on Monday and Tuesday. Then teach your older children on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This can work well if some of the kids have other activities that their father or another family member can take them to on the days when they aren't focusing on school work. Some kids may need an extra day of learning if they struggle in certain areas, while other kids might whiz through assignments in one day.
Teach your kids at different times throughout the day. If your younger kids get up early, teach them in the morning and then teach your older kids in the afternoon and early evening. You may be able to combine lectures for some children if the age range is not too great.
If you want to teach your kids all at once, you can focus on different assignments throughout the day. Teach writing in the morning, reading soon after and then focus on other subjects, say, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Start teaching the youngest students and get them started on their assignments. Teach the older kids while the younger children are working. Focus on crafts and field trips at the end of each day or later on during the week.
If you want to teach all the children at the same time, you can hire a tutor or another teacher to help you. Designate a set time for learning, such as between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. every day. Have some of the children work on written work or other projects while you work with other kids one-on-one. You can also make rounds with the tutor to ensure that everyone is understanding how to complete their assignments.
