Collectively write out a story about humility as a class or in groups. Have each person draw an assigned frame of the comic in black marker. Let them sign their frame with their name. Piece the frames together in the order of the story onto white pages. Photocopy the pages. Staple each book together. Have each child color their own comic book. Now each child has a copy of a cohesive comic book with an equal effort from each of their classmates that they can look at every day.
Draw a path of spaces on a large piece of posterboard. The example to follow for this game is "Candyland." Instead of color cards, use a die. Decorate the game board with markers and stickers. In each space, have a situation in which either bragging or humility can be used. Ask kids what they should do. For an answer with humility move up a space. For an answer that does not show humility, move back two spaces. The person who gets to the end wins.
Draw an outline of a bear on a white sheet of paper. Photocopy this outline onto colored cardstock. Let children color and decorate their bear. Some items that can be used are glitter, glue and buttons, sequins, markers, pieces of fabric and googly eyes. Now each child can practice humility by having their bear act humble. Show them what your bear would do if faced with a situation which can either be handled with humility or bragging. If you compliment the bear's handsomeness, he should say "Thank you," instead of "Yeah, I know I'm handsome."
Give each child a giant index card. Let them draw and color an image of an example of when to use humility. Write the situation on the back and ask the question, "What should so-and-so do?" Once all the cards are done, collect them. This flash card game can now be played as a class or in groups.
