Create a draft of your lesson plan with pen and paper. Determine the focus and goal of your lesson, such as learning new vocabulary, expanding upon current vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure or conversation.
Determine the area on which you want to focus, such as pronunciation, spelling, grammar, writing or reading, and create a lesson that is appropriate for your students. Consider the age of your students as well as their skill levels.
Incorporate audio and visual equipment into your lesson. This will reinforce vocabulary and grammar for auditory and visual learners. Consider playing a video or having students repeat new words along with an interactive CD.
Plan interactive games. Kinesthetic learners will learn best from these games because they are required to physically participate in an activity that fosters learning. Create word games to reinforce and learn new vocabulary.
Incorporate computers with interactive software. Students will enjoy the autonomy of working on the computer at their own pace. Use this software to build upon language acquired in the lesson.
Create printable worksheets for students as a review. Ask students to complete the worksheets as a review. This will allow you to assess their language and the vocabulary acquired. Use these worksheets to determine where improvement and reinforcement is needed.
