How to Adjust the Lateral Arm on an Overhead Projector

Overhead projectors allow you to project digital text and images, as well as text and images printed on transparencies, onto a projector screen. All overhead projectors come with a means to adjust the device's focus and vertical positioning, but some also allow you to adjust the projector's lateral positioning by simply loosening a few screws.

Loosen the screws securing the projector's lateral positioning arm to the lateral positioning plate. Depending on your projector model, you may be able to remove these screws either by hand, or by using a Phillips or flathead screwdriver.

Adjust the projector's lateral position as needed.

    • 4

Tighten the screws you loosened in Step 2 to secure the projector in its new lateral position.
