How to Solve Quadratic Programming

Quadratic programming is a math problem that seeks to either minimize or maximize a quadratic problem. There are many ways to solve quadratic programming, such as using Lagrange multipliers, but these methods are lengthy and a novice mathematician can be prone to errors. The most efficient way to solve quadratic programming is by using a graphing calculator. If you have a Texas Instruments graphing calculator, such as the TI-83+ or TI-Nspire, it is easy to solve quadratic programming.

Download the quadratic programming solver software from the resource link, and connect your calculator to your computer using the TI Graph Link,

    • 2

Launch the TI Connect Software, unzip the downloaded program and drag it onto your calculator when prompted.

    • 3

Disconnect your calculator from your computer and press "On."

    • 4

Press "Prgm" and select "Quadrat" from the available list by pushing "Enter."

    • 5

Input your variables when prompted at "A," "B" and "C," by identifying them as "x²," "x" "defined numerical value" on your given problem.

    • 6

Push "Enter" to solve the problem.
