Access the y=editor to enter a function to graph. Press "Enter" or use the "F3" button to move your cursor to the entry line, then type in your function. For example, if you are trying to graph a polynomial, you would enter (x - 2) x (x + 7). To graph a polynomial, you do not need to add the parentheses, but you may do so to see the definition more clearly. Press "Enter" to save your polynomial function.
Enter the dimensions of your graph by accessing the WINDOW menu. To access the WINDOW menu, press the "F2" button. Set the parameters of your graph by changing the xminimum, xmaximum, yminimum and ymaximum values. The xmin, xmax, ymin and ymax are the upper and lower endpoints of the x and y axis. Be sure to set the x and y minimums lower than the x and y maximums. To change the values of the xmin, ymin, xmax and ymax, scroll down to the value you wish to change. When you have entered all the correct data, press "Enter" to save your information.
Save your graph by accessing the tool menu. To access the tool menu, press the "F1" button. In the tool menu, press "1" to select a previously saved graph or press "2" to save the graph you are currently working on.
Interact with your graph by choosing one of the options available, such as Zoom, Trace, Draw, Regraph or Pen. These options can be found by pressing the function keys, F2 through F7. Zoom will allow you to focus in on an isolated portion of your graph, trace allows you to move left or right along the x axis to identify specific values of points on the x axis, draw and pen both allow you to draw objects on your graph, regraph will redraw your current graph and the "Math" option offers 12 ways to analyze your function.
