Why vanderbilt an ivy league?

Vanderbilt University is not an Ivy League school.

The Ivy League is a collegiate athletic conference comprising eight private universities in the Northeastern United States: Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, and Yale. Vanderbilt, while a prestigious private university, is located in the Southeastern United States and is not a member of this specific athletic conference. Therefore, it doesn't meet the definition of an Ivy League school.
