Crafts With Plastic School Boxes

Using old plastic school boxes for crafts is an ideal way to use these boxes instead of throwing them away. When making crafts with plastic school boxes, you can use either old or new ones. If old boxes are being used, the boxes should be cleaned first. Generally, crafts made with plastic school boxes are ideal for elementary school age children.
  1. First Aid Kit

    • Make a first aid kit with children using a plastic school box. The box can be old or new and is made by gluing paper onto it. It is then decorated with colored glues, paints, markers and crayons. Stickers can also be added to the box. Attach a band-aid on the top for a special touch. Fill the box with several first aid items including several different sizes of band-aids, a tube of a disinfectant cleaner for the wounds and a roll of gauze. Hand sanitizer and rubber gloves are also great to include. Add any other first aid items to the box if desired.

    Keepsake or Jewelry Box

    • A keepsake box is easily made from a plastic school box. Keepsake boxes are designed for people to keep special things within them and can be any size. Using a plastic school box is on the smaller end of normal boxes used, but it works for a child to keep small things in such as marbles, bookmarks, jewelry or small toys. Decorate with colored paper, markers and stickers. The person creating can also write her name on the box in marker or with letter stickers.
