Create a homecoming mums corsage using standard incurve silk chrysanthemum blooms. Use two or three cardboard backing shields or backing disks to create a base for the mums and glue tulle and ribbon to the disks to make a "nest" for the flowers. Glue 1 1/2-inch wide ribbons in your school colors around the bottom of the disk. Poke holes through the backing shields/disks if they do not have them to thread your mums through. Use tape to keep the stems down on the back of the disks. Add any additional embellishments such as bells, charms and small plush animals if desired. Use large pins to fasten the mums to a shirt or top.
Create lollipop cheerleaders by wrapping two pipe cleaners around a lollipop to create arms and legs. Glue small pom poms on the "hands" of each cheerleader and allow to dry. Attach notes to the crafts with inspirational messages about school spirit and give them out to students at homecoming games, including current and former cheerleaders. Use an assortment of lollipops to create a variety of different cheerleaders.
Create homecoming T-shirts by customizing shirts through assorted online apparel stores or make your own. If you decide to make your own, use plain white T-shirts and tie-dye them in school colors or purchase shirts in school colors. Use fabric pens and paint, glitter, rhinestones and any other embellishments to decorate the shirt. Homecoming shirts incorporate the class's name (such as "Class of 2011") and words and phrases supporting the school's team. Place pieces of cardboard inside the shirt while decorating to avoid paint bleeding through the fabric.
Create pennants and streamers for the homecoming game. Make streamers by attaching assorted ribbons and tulle in school colors to a key chain or wooden dowel. Decorate some of the streamers if desired with glitter and fabric glue and also try braiding some of the ribbon pieces to add variety and texture to the craft. Also use ribbons and tulle of assorted sizes to add more variety. Cut pennants out of felt and decorate them as desired or purchase pennants and customize them as you see fit.
