Dodge Ball is one of the most fun and terrifying games for kids in PE. The class is split into two teams, which are split up on two sides of a court. Several balls are given to each team. The teams must throw the balls at members of the other team and try to hit them. When a ball hits a player, that player is out. Once all of a team's players are eliminated they lose.
Tug of War is a game that requires strength, endurance and fortitude. The class is again split up into two teams. Each team stands in a long line facing toward the opposing squad. A line is drawn on the ground beneath the center of a long rope stretched between the two groups. All team members grab onto the rope, and both teams start to pull the rope in their own directions at the same time. Whichever team pulls the opposing players across the center line first wins.
Duck Duck Goose is usually played by younger children due to the simplicity of the game. The class sits around in a circle. One student is chosen and rises from the circle. He walks around, patting each person on the head. After each pat he says "Duck," and when he is ready to pick another student he pats that child and says "Goose." At that point the Goose stands up and chases the original person once around the circle, trying to catch him before he reaches his original position.
Kick ball is a common game on the play ground that is easy to learn, provides exercise and helps students gain an understanding of baseball. Kick ball is played with a bouncy playground ball that is rolled from the pitcher's mound on a baseball diamond. Instead of a bat, players use a foot to kick the ball as far as possible into the playing field. If the ball is not caught, the player tries to outrun the throw to first base. Runners advance to second base, third base and then home to score. Teams have three outs per inning and the team that scores the most points wins.
